Recertification

Your IPMA certificate is valid for five years. The exact expiration date is stated at the bottom of your document. Every five years, you need to re-certify.

Re-certification is simpler and more cost-effective than going through the entire process of certification again. You only need to demonstrate that you have maintained your professional experience over the last five years. You do not need to retake the exam or assessment.

You can start the re-certification process six months before your certificate expires, and it must be completed no later than six months after the expiration date.
